Digital Frankenstein Magazine
Growing up, I had always wanted to start a magazine. And a lot of creative entrepreneur types will tell you, "Just F&*%ing do it!" So, I did. Together with my design partner, we created Digital Frankenstein, Cal Poly's (my college) first student-run digital magazine.
The goal was to implement a creative way for students to explore magazine writing, editing, designing, and digital publishing. The content stuck to students and community members' projects that are innovative, entrepreneurial and creative.
I wrote, assigned, and edited all content for the magazine. That includes setting deadlines for a group of writers (including myself). With the exception of a handful of original article pitches, most article ideas were my own. I also worked with my partner on the brand vibe & voice so that when we talked about it on the web, it was consistent.
